Seasons collection

The concept

Medium: 0.5 micron pen

Spring

This piece is a concept of flora blossoming in the beginning of spring. Some flowers are realistic, like the wisteria and peonies, and others are imaginative. The focal point is the red flowers over the eyes of the subject. Though there is a lot of foliage throughout the piece, the bright red flowers directs your eyes towards her face.

Summer

I really wanted to use red and orange colors, and the subject’s darker skin to represent the warmth of the sun during the summer. Some flowers are almost exotic, displaying each of their own unique shapes and forms.

fall

The theme is using horns varies drastically in this piece. The skull represents the presence of death, and how life is not permanent.

Winter

Though winter typically brings the end of many floral lifecycles, There are others that thrive in this particular environment. There’s hints of colors that pop through despite the harsh tones of blue.

time

Time can be perceived as as the life, change and death. It ties with the other pieces as the passage of time, seasons continuously changing, and how we can appreciate the little moments that occur within a chapter of time.
